Ronda Rousey defeats Miesha Tate

Rousey proved she is a legit MMA fighter against Tate, escaping several bad positions and displaying her judo skills. Tate was able to avoid Rousey’s first armbar attempt, but she wasn’t so lucky on the second. Rousey held on to the armbar, breaking Tate’s arm and taking the Strikeforce women’s bantamweight title.

Josh Thomson defeats K.J. Noons

Both men came out swinging, but Thomson slowed down the pace with his grappling, consistently taking K.J. to the ground, and keeping him there. All three judges gave Thomson the decision.

Kazuo Misaki defeats Paul Daley

Misaki looked pretty impressive against Daley, surprisingly winning the striking exchanges. Daley went to his grappling as the fight progressed, opening up Misaki with a short elbow from guard in the final round. It wasn’t enough to impress the judges though, and Misaki was awarded the split decision.

Lumumba Sayers defeats Scott Smith

Lumumba went straight to work against Smith, landing a few punches and effortlessly taking Smith to the ground. Sayers transitioned to the back-mount, but he eventually gave up the position, electing to trade more blows with the heavy-handed Smith. Lumumba eventually went for another takedown, picking Smith up and dropping him on the canvas. Sayers secured a guillotine on the ensuing scramble, forcing Scott to tap without even closing his guard.
