Timothy Bradley Getting Impatient with Manny Pacquiao

Former WBO welterweight champion, Manny Pacquiao, seems to be having a hard time deciding if he wants to face Juan Manuel Marquez or Timothy Bradley in his next fight.

“Desert Storm’s” father, Timothy Bradley Sr., is getting tired of the waiting game, and he seems a little disappointed in the fact that Pacquiao doesn’t seem eager to reclaim the WBO welterweight title his son snatched from him.

“Both fighters owe it to the fans,” Bradley Sr. stated during an interview with Chris Robinson. “The fans want to see a rematch. God is good and my son was victorious. He worked his butt off, he’s not getting justice. They should automatically jump on it and redo it. … When a champion loses a fight, he should automatically want to get his title back.”

Given how controversial Pacquiao’s loss against Bradley was, it’s a little surprising Pacquiao isn’t focused on reclaiming his WBO welterweight title. Pacquiao indicated that he wanted a rematch against Bradley during the post-fight press conference of their June 9 bout, promising to end the second fight in convincing fashion.

Some boxing fans feel Manny Pacquiao doesn’t need to fight Timothy Bradley again, considering the fact that most competent boxing experts scored their June bout in favor of the Filipino congressman. However, the fight between the two wasn’t as one-sided as some made it out to be, and I actually like Bradley’s chances in the event of a rematch.

Obviously, Bradley Sr. thinks so as well.

“The first fight was a hell of a fight and the second fight, if it does happen, it’s going to be a great, great fight,” Bradley Sr. added. “Matter of fact, it’s going to be historic.”

Regardless of whom Pacquiao ends up fighting on Dec. 8, he’s going to be in for another tough night. Marquez and Bradley are both technically superior boxers to “Pac Man,” and a second straight loss might just be the final nail in the coffin for the Filipino congressman.
