Since Zuffa officials have confirmed they will be streaming all non-televised fights at UFC 130 live on the promotion’s Facebook page, fans should take advantage of the free fights online and watch some great MMA action.
Former WEC bantamweight champion Miguel Torres will try to get his second win in the UFC when he goes up against Demetrious Johnson. Fighting on an undercard is a rare event for Torres who is used to headlining fight cards. I expect the matchup to be quite entertaining with both MMA fighters putting it all on the line. Johnson is a tough young fighter who also won his UFC debut, and he won’t be intimidated by Torres.
Gleison Tibau is another main card worthy MMA fighter that will be on the UFC 130 undercard. Gleison is coming off a split decision victory over the always game MMA fighter Kurt Pellegrino and will be looking to start another win streak. Tibau will meet up with Rafaello Oliveira at UFC 130, and I expect the fight to be an all out war. Oliveira is making his return to the UFC, after losing to Andre Winner at “UFC Fight Night 21” a little over a year ago. Oliveira knows how important winning is if he wants to stay under Zuffa’s banner. That by itself should give him extra motivation against Gleison Tibau.
The undercard match between Kendall Grove and Tim Boetsch should also be an interesting one to watch. Kendall became a favorite of many MMA fans, when he won the third season of the “Ultimate Fighter” reality series. Kendall’s MMA career hasn’t gone as well as many expected, and he hasn’t been able to put any significant winning streak together since signing with the UFC. Grove’s opponent Tim Boetsch isn’t as popular as Kendall, but you can argue his MMA career has been more successful. Boetsch is coming off a loss to UFC up and comer Phil Davis and will like to get back to the winning column sooner rather than later. At UFC 130 Boetsch will probably be successful at doing just that.
