UFC on Fuel TV 6 Predictions

The UFC will hold its first event in China on Nov. 10, at the Cotai Arena in Cotai, Macau. Here are my predictions for the “UFC on Fuel TV 6” fight card:

Rich Franklin vs. Cung Le

Franklin put on a show during his last fight against Wanderlei Silva, and Le proved he belonged in the UFC with his performance against Patrick Cote. Franklin will be the favorite going into their UFC on Fuel TV 6 encounter, but I think the oddsmakers are underestimating Le once again. Le will be motivated to put on a show fighting so close to his native Vietnam, and he should be able to keep Franklin at bay with his impressive arsenal of kicks. Le wins via decision.

Thiago Silva vs. Stanislav Nedkov

Nedkov looked good during his debut, stopping Luiz Cane in the first round of their UFC 134 encounter. He’ll be in for a tougher test when he squares up against Silva at UFC on Fuel TV 6, but he should be up to the task. Nedkov wins via TKO.

Dong Hyun Kim vs. Paulo Thiago

Kim and Thiago are coming off losses, but they’ve both defeated top-level opponents on the past. Thiago should get the better of the striking exchanges, but he might have a hard time keeping the fight standing against Kim. Very even matchup, but I think Kim’s superior grappling will be the difference maker at UFC on Fuel TV 6. Kim wins by decision.

Takanori Gomi vs. Mac Danzig

Gomi’s best days might be behind him, but he still has a lot of firepower in his hands. Danzig’s best bet would be to take Gomi to the ground and keep him there, but there’s a decent shot he’ll run into a hard shot while trying to do so. Gomi wins via TKO.
