UFC on FX Results

Despite having only a few big names on the UFC on FX fight card, it turned out to be the best MMA event I’ve seen this year. From the undercard to the main card, everyone came to fight on Jan. 20. Here are the results of the UFC on FX fight card held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.

Jim Miller defeats Melvin Guillard

Melvin did some damage in the opening minutes of the fight, landing some big shots and stuffing a few takedown attempts. Miller took a knee when he eventually secured a takedown, but he made Melvin pay for it. Miller worked his way to Melvin’s back, securing a rear-naked choke and forcing the tap.

Josh Neer defeats Duane Ludwig

As expected, Ludwig dominated the striking exchanges, but Neer eventually got the fight to the ground. On the canvas, it was pretty clear who the better grappler was. Neer quickly secured a high-elbow guillotine choke, putting Ludwig to sleep.

Mike Easton defeats Jared Papazian

Clearly the most entertaining fight at UFC on FX, stalling wasn’t an issue throughout the 15 minute encounter. Easton started off as the aggressor early in the fight, with Papazian displaying some serious footwork. By the third round, both men were trading big shots, with neither man letting up until the final bell. Two of the Octagon-side judges scored the fight for Easton (the third judge scored it 29-29), giving him the majority decision.

Pat Barry defeats Christian Morecraft

Barry proved he still has a lot to offer the UFC with his performance against Morecraft, surviving a few tough situations early on in the fight. After countering what looked like a close armbar attempt, Barry caught Morecraft with a huge left hook. Barry followed up with a few follow up punches, forcing referee Herb Dean to step in and stop the fight.

Jorge Rivera defeats Eric Schafer (TKO, round two)

Khabib Nurmagomedov defeats Kamal Shalorus (rear-naked choke, round three)

Charlie Brenneman defeats Daniel Roberts (unanimous decision)

Fabricio Camoes defeats Tom Hayden (rear-naked choke, round one)

Daniel Pineda defeats Pat Schilling (rear-naked choke, round one)

Nick Denis defeats Joseph Sandoval (KO, round one)
